On August 2021, God granted me the opportunity to serve him through 13:2 Initiative. To be honest I was doubtful and hesitant at my ability to oversee the initiative. From day one I made it a priority to “present my requests before God.” (Philippians 4) I knew that to see God at work in the lives of ministry partners, organizations, and immigrants, I would have to fully surrender to God. A few days ago, I took some time to look back and see all the wonderful deeds God has done.
What we are all about
HEBREWS 13:2
Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.
13:2 INITIATIVE EXISTS TO:
1. Coordinate and assist Christian ministries across the southern border as they work to meet the overwhelming humanitarian need.
2. Create a coalition of welcoming communities across the country to show Christ’s love to immigrants and strangers in their own cities, towns, and communities.
13:2 Initiative has had the blessing of partnering with Buckner International, Texas Baptist Men, Send Relief, and e3 Partners. We are grateful for their generosity and willingness to come alongside 13:2 Initiative and donate bottles of water, clothes, face masks, hand sanitizer, and blankets.
December 2021, we received a request for blankets from our missionaries in Reynosa. Winters in the area are rainy and windy, so migrants in the encampment needed tarps, and blankets to keep warm. 13:2 Initiative reached out to Texas Baptist Men, and within a span of two days, we had over 1,000 blankets ready to be given to migrant families in Reynosa.

13:2 Initiative 2021-2022 Report

Truly humbled to be part of what the Lord is doing at the border. Although it is chaotic and heartbreaking, God continues to move in a powerful way.
Blessings.
