Did you know that the United States has more immigrants than any other country in the world?

We are convinced God wants to mobilize the local church to care for immigrants.

Since my last 13:2 Initiative report, I’ve seen the Lord move in mighty ways. We’ve been able to provide hygiene kits, clothes, shoes, and food. We were also  able to contact three families with local churches in Illinois, Florida, and Texas. We continue to depend on the Lord and rely on his strength to proclaim the name of Jesus to people from Mexico, Central America, South America, Haiti, Cuba, Russia, Italy, and Ukraine. As some of you all know,

13:2 Initiative exists to:

  • Coordinate and assist Christian ministries across the southern border as they work to meet the overwhelming humanitarian need.
  • Create a coalition of welcoming communities across the country to show Christ’s love to immigrants and strangers in their own cities, towns, and communities.

Our goal is to invite local churches around to US to care for these families and individuals who are fleeing their home in search of a better opportunity of living. We’ve been able to contact churches and make the big ask to partner with us in the work God is doing at the border. We had Texas A&M BSM students serve with us during Spring Break 2023. They were much help in organizing our Calvary storage. UTRGV has also partnered with us and donated over 1,000 hygiene kits. We continue to ask, seek, and knock; knowing God will accomplish his perfect will.

This was written back in March/April 2023.
The Lord is certainly moving in a mighty way. We are so grateful for your support and love.

Blessings,

Damaris M
